Hello,
I am Ana

Based in East Sussex, UK, I am passionate about three main areas: communication, languages, and technology. My extensive qualifications include a First degree in Slavic Philology & Linguistics and a Cambridge CELTA. With 30 years of teaching experience, I have taught languages at various levels including secondary school, further and higher education, and to private and corporate clients.

I tutor various private students online, from A1 to C2 levels, including IELTS preparation and Business English. My experience extends to group and individual instruction in online and in-person settings. In addition, I provide regular teacher training workshops on behalf of the International TEFL Academy.

As a language tutor and coach, I have had the privilege of working with renowned organisations such as the International Committee of Red Cross, Home Language International, National Opera Studio, and Glyndebourne Opera House.

My teaching resources are designed with my expertise in intercultural communication and learner perception in mind. As a business owner myself, I have a unique understanding of the key English language skills essential for success in various professional fields in the UK.

Whether you’re looking for digital teaching resources or one-on-one language coaching, I am committed to finding the best approach to meet your needs as my client or student. I look forward to working with you.

Language & Culture

The communication culture in Britain is known for its unique style. It features indirect communication, understatement, politeness and, of course, the famous sense of humour. This series of short animations will help you to understand and use it better.

This is only one type the MDE’s fun and engaging resources for learners.
